Nick Jonas must die.

Yes, I know there are a million people who think this way, and even post long winded, pointless blog posts about this topic.

I am one of them.

Actually, I never actually hated any of the Jonas Brothers until now. I didn't like or listen to there music, but I never hated them. When I first heard their whiny little voices on the family channel from one of their songs, I never hated them. When I heard that they were a trio of spoiled rich brothers, who were completely untalented who just so happened to pick up a guitar, bass and drumsticks, put together a few simple rythyms, and sing some lyrics their daddy paid someone talented to come up with, I didn't hate them. When I heard they came out with their own TV show featuring their daily lives(?) I didn't hate them. When I heard Nick Jonas whining on the family channel about his "Other Dream" and how he didn't have a good enough life being in probably one of the most known bands of this generation, and how he also wanted to be an actor, I didn't hate them. Even though I highly looked down upon the fact that they didn't write their own stuff, they just sat on their hands while someone did it for them, I have to wonder where their thumbs were.

No, the hate came much, much later. In fact it was just yesterday when I was reading an interview that the Toronto Star did with my faveourite band; Kings of Leon. The interview initiall perked my couriosity because I was led to believe that it would reveal the release date of their new CD. Alas, it did not. But I'm glad I read it, because as I got near the end, I saw a question asking the bands opinion about a certain Nick Jonas and other pop stars who have covered one of their hit songs Use Somebody I was immediatly shocked and angered upon finding out about this treachery! I furiously managed to hit the letters youtube.com on my keyboard despite the pounding it was taking from my hands. I got there and immediatly searched for the presumed horror that I had just heard of. I clicked on it, and it wasn't horrible.

No...it was much, much worse the horrible. It was like all of my nightmares came to life just to terrorize my with the birth of Nick Jonas.

For those of you who have been forunate enough to not see this monstrosity, I envy you. But if for some reason you want to see it, its on Youtube, just type in Nick Jonas covers Use Somebody, I'd link it here, but my Blogger is being weird...may god have mercy on your poor souls.

Yes, he also covered fireflies. Why? To Piss us all off.

THATS IT! I've figured it out! Nick Jonas be trollin!

I wish. Nope, he legitimatly thinks that we want to listen to him butcher our faveourite songs. I have gone from not knowing about this bad, to knowing about this band and not liking their music, but being perfectly fine with their existence, to feeling that this band is a bunch of retarded spoiled, selfish, bitchy children, to LOATHING the very existence of Nick Jonas.

Yes troll! I BE MAD, VERY MAD.

Why Nick Jonas? wasn't plagueing the family channel(What? I enjoy the family channel.), the internet and the radio not good enough? You really needed to make my life that much worse by not only forcing every girl who doesn't know what puberty is to probably find my blog, then telling me to burn in a hellish fire for the rest of my life, but also to...to DISGRACE the best band that ever happened to music by doing this?

You will pay sir. If not by my hand, then by the hand of the gods of music...or...karma.

Yes yes ladies, I know what you're about to say. We've heard it before. "OMFG UR A HATER!! HE'S SO HOT HOW COULD YOU HATE HIM!!". While I wouldn't know if this is true or not, although just by looking at him, it makes me giggle because some people just have it rough in terms of charisma, being attractive doesn't not procure one the right to live. "WELL, UR JUST JEALOUS BECAUSE HES FAMOUS AND UR NOT!!!" Nope, trust me, I am quite happy just being the regular old shmoe I am. I'd rather make my life more meaningful by working from the bottem in life, and making my way to the top (Although, I have been blessed with a pretty nice foundation), rather then have everything I'll ever need handed to me in my teen years. Besides, I couldn't handle being famous. I hate the majority of people. I'd snap in my first few seconds of fame. "WELL....WELL....UR JUST GAY AND A FAGGOT LULULULULS HATERRRRR!!!!!". Hmm, nope.

Jonas Brothers! I challenge you to write your own songs! Show a shred of creativity! Try to appeal to a fanbase that isn't under the age of 12, can think for itself and doesn't think that the baby stork delivered them to their mommy and daddy. Show us intelligent people why you deserve you're fame, show us that you aren't worthless talentless teenage fluke stars. Because in my opinion (which I am allowed to state), you are nothing but the worst thing that has ever been heard over speakers.

And for God's sake, do not try to cover anything thats actually good, ever again.

Also my guild is doing pretty good:D (mood swing), we've only been together a few weeks and have already downed half of ICC. Yeah, its not that great, but we are still pugging quite a few spots, but have almost filled our core group, so soon we shall be at the Lich King! Stay tuned for more WoW related blog posts! stay frosty!

Patient: WoW. Time of death: 4:13 AM EST 07/06/2010

Anyone who is anyone already knows what I'm talking about.

They way I work is that at first when I hear frustrating news, I get angry, usually rant on and on to somebody I know, but other then that I keep it to myself. Then after I calm down, I step back, and find the comedy in it, this is what I have done now.

Memorize the date above everybody, that is the date that Blizzard wrote World of Warcraft's suicide note.

For those of you who live under the proverbial rock, Blizzard has taken the proverbial knife, and severed A proverbial artery in the proverbial body of WoW....Okay ill stop. To get to the point, Blizzard came up with this wonderful idea that will, get ready for this ladies and gentlemen, stop trolls!!! :O. I know right!? And how they are going to do this is simply by making it so that when you post on the forums, it displays your Real ID. ...Wait what? Yup, apparently "Removing the veil of Anonymity" will stop "flame wars" on the forums. Yeah, that's terrific, for all 10 people who will be posting there.

NOW for SOME WEIRD reason that NO ONE at blizzard can comprehend, this has caused an outburst of rage from the WoW community!! :O. I KNOW! I'm just as confused as you are! Why would people object to having millions of people having their real name? Wait....Huh.

Now, to back up and be serious for a moment (yes, just for a moment), As everyone knows, the Real ID feature is something that came out very recently, that when you and a friend both willfully consent, you can give each other your E-mail addresses, and instead of displaying your character name when you log on, it shows your real name, first and last. This is supposed to be implemented on all of Blizzards games that come out from now on. This means that now matter what realm your on, or if your zerg rushing some poor sap in Starcraft II, or if your running around with the infamous Deckard Cane in Diablo III, your Real ID buddies will be able to see what you're up too.

Lets now fast-forward to just a few days ago, when Nethaera, a Blizzard poster, made this thread. This told us that very soon, near the end of July, when we post on the Battle.net forums, it will display our first and last names and IF WE WISH...our main character name...I know Blizz is so good to us.

Now since there are oh so many pro's to this new feature they are implementing, i figure its only fair we look at the con's, no? For starters, this may end SOME "flame wars", no doubt. But it will also ESCALATE several to point where it could very well becoming a safety concern for one, or several of the participants in said war. for example John Doe could call out Joe Smith and then Bob Davis would get in on the action. John calls Joe some very nasty words, and Bob says himself and Joe are going to hunt John down and hurt him. A quick Google search of the name, and ta-da, there is an address, Phone number, and oh! even pictures of John in his house! And his wife and kids are also named in said photos.

This is not the only downfall, what about the female gaming community, such as my beloved Cyphale? If you release the fact that you are female, your asking to get trolled, harassed, insulted, and begged for cyber-lovins. Its already bad enough, but if some poor girl wants to report a bug in-game? "OMG CUTIE!!! LETS HOOK UP!!" or more profane, "Hey____ suck my ____!"....yeah, pretty sure you get my point.

But oh no, to the most determined perverted scum, and there are A LOT of them, trust me, it doesn't end there. Nope, now they can Google search the name, get her Facebook or w/e, harass her from there, or even get her address and go to her house. What? It DOES happen and you know it. Not very often, but this is making it A LOT easier for them to do it now.

And finally, my personal problem with this. All of my parents, Mom, Dad, Step-dad, Step-mother, ALL work at a penitentiary, THAT'S A PLACE WHERE BAD PEOPLE GO! now, if some Murderer/Rapist who holds a grudge against one of my parents Googles there last name? and I happened to be friendly chatting with the other mages of the WoWnation about our class changes? oh! looks like that guy has a son! And he lives here!, you can probably see how that wouldn't fair well for me.

For all you people out there who are like "omfg, you guys need to calm down, you can't get all that information with just a first name", well you are just plain wrong. Infact, Blizzard did the liberty of proving you wrong themselves. Wasn't that nice of them? They made a separate thread, released some guys Real ID to show that it isn't dangerous to have your real name out there. This is the best part of my whole post, get ready.

Within MINUTES of having this guys name, people where able to get his address, his phone number, and pictures of him. Guess how Blizz responded to this? they took down the thread... Win Blizz...Win. If you don't believe me, its on the news, go check it out.

What I personally think is happening here, is that Blizzard saw the Star Wars: The Old Republic Hope trailer and were like "...It's over, lets kill it now." And decided to let the game suffer a slow and painful death starting with this.

If this is not the reason I fully agree with the very first poster on this topic named "Tophla" who said:

"This is possibly the worst thing I've ever read in blue.

I can't even begin to fathom why you would do this."

Blizzard, if you are expecting WoW to survive through 2011/2012, you CANNOT be making moves like this, with SW:TOR and GW2 just on the horizon, you might as well just shut down the realms right now if you are going to be doing stupid things like this. JUST LISTEN to the outcry on your thread, there are already 80 pages of 90% negative comments about this. How can you knowingly go through with this knowing that the VAST MAJORITY of people range from not liking this to f****** furious at you. So many people are canceling their accounts because of this, so many that the canceling feature is backed up from how many people are doing it. Show us just once that you care for your fans and your community, show the people that pay your ridiculously over priced 40$ every two months to play your 5 and a half year old game. You can't seriously think that this is a good idea anymore.

OH! also! They are reducing the talent trees from 71 points to 41 points.... Oh wait no one cares because of the Real ID thing.

I know everybody and their dog has replied, posted threads, or blogged about this, but I just had to, I had no choice. I had to do my part in this war against the stupidity of Blizzard. Blizzard, I know trolls make you sad, and gold spammers are annoying, but this won't do ANYTHING to solve these problems, it will only create more for you. I appreciate what you are trying to do for us, but with all these negative effects that could, and will happen, there has to be a better way. Lets hope for the best WoWnation, this has been Amorianths longest post yet, and I'm out, you guys stay frosty through this cold dark time in WoW history.

By the way guys, if you want more information on the subject, and not a mockery like I have given you, this guy is all over it, and his information is legit, his posts will help you more then mine.

Glory of the Hero!

This is the nifty little achievement me and my friends have been working on lately

What it is for those of you who don't know is that when Wrath of the Lich King first came out, there were a series of difficult achievements that could only be obtained through the heroic versions of the Northrend instances. However now that we are all easily above the gear expectations for ICC, these achievements are rather easy. Okay...so? you may ask. So, what you get from completing the many achievements is the meta achievement Glory of the Hero. And...? you may still be thinking. Once you complete the meta achievement, you will receive this completely bad ass Red Proto-Drake in the mail. A few days ago, me and my friends all finally got this.

Well, that is for the unfortunate lack of luck for Cyphilly, poor poor Cyphilly :( the only one she needs now is the one from Violet Hold called "Dehydration" which is of course pretty much just random luck on getting the water boss, which she hasn't been lucky enough to get thus far, but we remain hopeful.

The only achievement that caused us any trouble at all was Less-Rabi which is the one from Moorabi of Gundrak. This took us a few tries, but thankfully for one of our shammy friends, he was nice enough to come along and provide us with the bloodlust we needed to do it.

In other news, it looks like Alan Wake is going back to sleep until the end of July when the DLC is released, containing what i believe is a new episode for us. I beat it a few weeks ago, This game was great, I really truly did enjoy it. It was very unique and entertaining, the story could have been a bit better, but it is one of the better games we have had lately. Is it better then heavy rain? My personal opinion is no. Heavy rain was SO good, I'm sure any game will be able to top it for me, at least not any time soon. The characters were just so easy to get into, and the gameplay was so unique, and the story was truly amazing, in my opinion there is just no competition currently out there for it.

Don't let you deter this from playing Alan Wake though. It is still a must play, and a really good game. Anyone who owns an Xbox should already own it, if you don't go get it, it's worth it. And if you don't like/ are confused about the ending, don't worry about it, it is being said that the DLC will clear it all up for us, and if it doesn't season 2 (Alan Wake 2, or whatever the sequel will be called), definitely will.

Well that about wraps up this post, thank you for reading, and there will be more to come real soon, I promise. The summer is almost here, so I will have more free time to post for all you lovely people. Until then, this is Amorianth waving goodbye to you from the back of his Red Proto drake! you stay frosty interwebs!

Yikes!!

AMORIANTH!!! WTF MAN WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!!?

Yes yes, I know, it has been too, too long blogger.

I wish I could tell you I've been somewhere cool, like on vacation or something. But the truth is I have been right here the whole time. Lame I know. Sorry for being away for so long, I've just been busy with a number of things. For one, I have a new found love for PvP. I've started to gear my warrior a little bit in hopes of being able to soon make a 2 vs 2 team with the talented Cyphilly (Cyphale...I know, original huh?:P) also I have been playing a few other video games lately, such as, one of my old faveourites Legend of the Dragoon. This game is pretty old, its for PlayStation 1. However, no matter how old, or how bad the dialogue, or how many plot holes it has, its still an awesome game, it always has been and always will be one of my faveourites, and it is a true classic. The other one I have been playing is of course Alan Wake (see earlier May post for more details) and yes, it is awesome. Is it Heavy Rain material? I'm not sure yet, I will have to wait until after I beat it, which should be soon, to let you know.

I wish I could say all I have been doing is just screwing around and being too lazy to post, but in truth not everything has been all good. My guild which I had come to love just called it quits as far as raiding goes until Cataclysms release. This is for a number of reasons, some of them are more personal matters, but the main one is that people just weren't showing up and performing. They would show up Tuesday for the first 5 or 6 bosses for 25 man Icecrown Citadel, but then they wouldn't show up for the continuation the next day. Same issue for the 10 mans. I have been told this is because in Wrath of the Lich King, people have the mindset of wanting gear and wanting it now. They don't want wipes, failures or loot going to someone else. The WotLK mindset is a greedy one. And this was causing the people who were not like this too become unhappy with simply downing 6 bosses, and began to want more. And the guild leader was just not up to dealing with this all, to be fair, he is quite the busy person to be juggling a raiding guild on the side of everything, so I will give him that. So to say the least, there has been quite a bit of guild drama going on lately.

Anywho, today me and my real life friends made our own raiding guild called Anguish. We will be a casual raiding guild. And if you are on my realm (Anub'Arak) and you are interested in helping us get our guild on its feet, we are recruiting for our core 10 man group.

So that is what has been going on in Amorianth land. Sorry for not posting in a long time. But I am back, and will continue to bring you epically entertaining posts! So stay frosty WoWNation!

Crisis!

I has a dilemma.

My friend recently bought me a Teldrassil Sproutling as a gift and a thank you for all the times I bought him lunch in real life. For those of you who don't know, this is my faveourite pet in the entire game. I have been trying to get one for quite some time now. So the lesson here is be a good friend, because no matter how much you spend on them, it all works out in the end.

But this is not the problem. The problem now lies with which character to put it on. On top of my 80 Paladin and Mage, I also have an 80 Warrior (unplayed and unloved) and a Druid, which is not played often. In fact, compared to my Mage, It is played next to never. However, the druid as you may have guessed, is restoration.

Now you see my problem.

The question here is, do I put the pet on my Mage so I can show it off to my friends, guildies, and PUG members so they can all be jealous? Or do I put it on my rarely played druid and have it look like a match?

I am currently leaning towards my Mage because I think my faveourite pet should be on my faveourite character, but the thought of having a little tree following me around as I am a tree is entertaining. I still clearly have some thinking to do, but I think it will go to my main, Amorianth for reasons stated above. If any readers have any comments or suggestions about this (not you Cyphale, I know your opinion :P) please feel free to leave a comment and let me know.

Well that about wraps up this post, I would like to quickly give a progression update for myself and my guild Vicious Tactics. We have now official cleared up to rotface on 25 man, and our 10 man is on The Lich King. I would say we now have Rotface on farm status. As I realize most guilds have gotten much further, please realize we are a casual and somewhat new guild, so for the amount of time we have been together, we have accomplished a lot. I will continue to update you further on our progression in the upcoming weeks, so stay frosty!

Wakey wakey Alan Wake

I know, I know, clever title, I'm a genius.

After a long wait The game Alan Wake comes out in just a few weeks, 20 days from now to be exact. If you're an Xbox owner and you haven't heard of this game, get the f*** off my blog.

I kid.

If you haven't heard of it, Alan Wake is the newest game from the game company Remedy. Yes, the same guys who made the Max Payne series. This game is under the genre of "Thriller". Its about this guy, yep, Alan Wake, who is novel writer. While writing his most recent book, he develops a case of writers block. His wife decides it might help to take him on a vacation to small town named "Bright Falls". Sounds cheery. However not long after they get there, Alan starts living a nightmare.

His wife gets kidnapped and Alan of course sets out on an adventure to find her. We know little right now of who took her and why, but what we do know is that by day, the village is a normal place, but by night, something weird takes over the town, and turns the townsfolk into weird monsters that want to kill(?) him. Along the way, Alan starts finding pieces of his book, parts that he doesn't remember even writing, and they start to come true in front of his very eyes.

What we know of the game play as of right now is something I find very interesting. By day, you will travel around the town attempting to solve the mystery about this weird town, and your wife, and by night, you will venture around in the darkness, and will have to combat against the villagers. We will be able to do this by first burning the darkness off of them with some sort of light source, (I.E. flashlight) and then shooting them with our gun.

Now what I personally find exciting about this game is that it might finally be a contender for the crown to my all time favourite game. The current holder of this title is the PS3 game Heavy Rain. I myself, am currently an Xbox man. So it pains me very much that my faveourite game is Heavy Rain, this is why I pray Alan Wake will finally defeat it. I love Xbox, but there has never been before a game like Heavy Rain, nothing like the game play, the story, the choices, nothing. Heavy Rain was a personal 10/10. Please Alan Wake, be 11.

With only 20 days left on the clock until its release, I am eagerly awaiting to bring it home on the 18th of May. Will it be better then Heavy Rain? or will I still be forced to utter that my faveourite game is for the PS3? All questions will be answered when Alan Wake wakes up in 20 days. Stay Frosty!
