Wakey wakey Alan Wake

I know, I know, clever title, I'm a genius.

After a long wait The game Alan Wake comes out in just a few weeks, 20 days from now to be exact. If you're an Xbox owner and you haven't heard of this game, get the f*** off my blog.

I kid.

If you haven't heard of it, Alan Wake is the newest game from the game company Remedy. Yes, the same guys who made the Max Payne series. This game is under the genre of "Thriller". Its about this guy, yep, Alan Wake, who is novel writer. While writing his most recent book, he develops a case of writers block. His wife decides it might help to take him on a vacation to small town named "Bright Falls". Sounds cheery. However not long after they get there, Alan starts living a nightmare.

His wife gets kidnapped and Alan of course sets out on an adventure to find her. We know little right now of who took her and why, but what we do know is that by day, the village is a normal place, but by night, something weird takes over the town, and turns the townsfolk into weird monsters that want to kill(?) him. Along the way, Alan starts finding pieces of his book, parts that he doesn't remember even writing, and they start to come true in front of his very eyes.

What we know of the game play as of right now is something I find very interesting. By day, you will travel around the town attempting to solve the mystery about this weird town, and your wife, and by night, you will venture around in the darkness, and will have to combat against the villagers. We will be able to do this by first burning the darkness off of them with some sort of light source, (I.E. flashlight) and then shooting them with our gun.

Now what I personally find exciting about this game is that it might finally be a contender for the crown to my all time favourite game. The current holder of this title is the PS3 game Heavy Rain. I myself, am currently an Xbox man. So it pains me very much that my faveourite game is Heavy Rain, this is why I pray Alan Wake will finally defeat it. I love Xbox, but there has never been before a game like Heavy Rain, nothing like the game play, the story, the choices, nothing. Heavy Rain was a personal 10/10. Please Alan Wake, be 11.

With only 20 days left on the clock until its release, I am eagerly awaiting to bring it home on the 18th of May. Will it be better then Heavy Rain? or will I still be forced to utter that my faveourite game is for the PS3? All questions will be answered when Alan Wake wakes up in 20 days. Stay Frosty!

Moar Tanks Plox???

Yeah, you know what I'm talking about.

You innocently think "Hey, I'll log onto my hunter and do the daily heroic" only to queue and see that you have about a fifteen minute wait for one heroic. You get bored after about two minutes then decide to go to something else. Although some people might blame blizzard for this, I do not. I blame the WoW community.

As a person who plays both a DPS and a Tanking class, I could be a bit biased, but I don feel it unfair and in all honesty, a bit cheated when I log onto my Paladin and queue for a heroic knowing I'm making some DPS Death Knight out there very happy. Then when I log onto my Mage trying to do the daily, I get no where near the same effect. No I'm not stupid; I don't expect it, but it still sucks, and don't act like you don't think so.

If your a DPS, you have to expect a long queue, even for healers, sometimes the wait is up to Five minutes for healers. Which leads me to ask, why? What is so god awful about tanking that such a low percentage of the WoW population does it? You find healers and DPS everywhere you turn, but tanks are rarer then nobody dying on The Dance. But Why? I mean I love tanking on my Paladin, I mean sure I get bored of the same heroics over and over, but the concept of tanking is just fun to me. And other tanks I've talked to have said the same thing. It's just fun, so why doesn't everyone try it?

Maybe people are just to scared to try it. Everyone who tanks knows what mean. When you first start out and you lose aggro and wipe the group, you see your chat bar fill up with comments such as "WTF TANK!!!! FAILS!!! L2 PLAY YOU F***ING NOOB!!! OMFG U SUCK" and various other insulting phrases. Another thing that could be is now with the random dungeon queue, a lot of people use it strictly for they're frost emblem dailies, and they just want to get it over with so every time you stop for two seconds you see "GOGOGOGOGOGO TANK!". My friend and a funny joke for this situation that went something like this: Buddy, if you're sitting in the back seat of you're friends car, and you yell 'GOGOGOGOGO!" at every red light, you're gonna figure out you'll be walking pretty damn quick. I love this joke because I find it to be so true. I can understand that people want their daily done now, but for the love of all that is holy, give the tank a break guys.

I think these could be some main reasons why people don't tank, is because this happens to them and they get discouraged, so they stop. Another reason I think is because people simply don't try for whatever reason, then bitch about longer queue times like I am now, except I pay my dues. If you're a retribution Paladin, why don't you roll on tanking gear for an OS? instead of just being a dime a dozen DPS, give tanking a try and see at least if you like it. I can guarantee, if everyone did what I did, there would be plenty more tanks out there, not to sound egotistical, but I think most people would agree with me. If you have a healing offspec even, thats helpful too, I realize some people just cannot tank, I have the same problem with healing, it's you pure DPS Paladins and Death Knights out there that I'm talking to.

To quote my friend again "It doesn't work if there is just one smart person, if everyone else had tanking off specs, and everyone who could queued for both DPS and tanking, you would not always instantly be forced to tank, and everyone would have an instant queue." So if you're bored, why not give it a try? You may even find you like it. And for all you dicks out there that do what I've mentioned above, Knock that shit off, or don't queue. Amorianth out! Ass-Kick!

How ironic that my first real post not be about WoW. Today I saw the movie Kick-Ass, and, well, the movie is exactly what the name says it is.

When I first heard about this movie, I felt that it was a pretty decent idea to base a movie off of, however I had many doubts about if it would actually be good. I mean lots of movies sound great from the trailers and reviews, but then you basically pay 10 dollars for a two hour nap. I thought this movie had a lot of potential, but I was very worried it would not be done well or properly.

I was wrong.

This movie starts out as stupid, funny, and just utterly ridiculous. However by the end, it turns epically serious. It was personally a very enjoyable movie for me because as a child, I would day dream the days away with stories in my mind of how I would one day be a super hero and save the day... and to be honest, I still do >.>. This is exactly what this movie is. A regular nerd, like myself, who one day decides to put on an oddly coloured wet suit, and attempt to fight crime. He has no powers, no abilities, just the will to be a hero.

For those of you who have seen it, YES Red Mist's costume IS awesome and YES, Hit Girl IS my f***ing hero...no joke. Surprisingly though, this movie has a few morals that I personally loved, in all seriousness. The message I enjoyed the most, was near the beginning when Kick-Ass was defending a guy who was getting the crapped beat out of him 3 against 1. I won't ruin this moment, just know it is epic and also very true.

I shall not spoil anymore of the movie for you (if any) readers, obviously not everyone will like this movie, that is impossible. But if it is the type of movie you think you'd like...for anyone who's ever dreamed of being a super hero, and for everyone who still does, you will enjoy this movie.

Also, a bit of an update: The new template I am very happy with, although it has come to my attention that not all templates are able to support custom banners, so I may have to switch back, because the lovely Cyphale has made me an extremely Kick-Ass (haha i r funneh rite?) banner that I plan to use. Also coming soon, a profile picture and, videos! (I hope) so stay frosty!

Well Well Well......Well (Begginnings)

I'm actually creating a blog... I can almost not believe it. I never though I would make something like this but...try something new right? Who knows I may end up enjoying it.

So here is the story: I'm a 17 year old boy, me and my friends are deeply into a game called World of Warcraft. The answer is Horde...Incase you were wondering. I myself have four level 80's. Only two are loved and cared for however. One is a Protection Paladin named Ewykuyi. The other is a Mage called Amorianth. Yes my display name is my mage because I actually like the name.

But wait!!! you cry. Protection Paladin and a Mage? One commonly uses a spell called Righteous Fury and another uses one called Frostbolt? Could this be where he got his blog name from?? Yes! I answer with enthusiasm!

So now that the formalities are out of the way, I will update here at least once a week probably more. I'm not sure how many people will actually view this, if anyone. But if anyone is interested, I will be talking about the game alot, my adventures and shenanigans with my friends and various other things. Perhaps soon I will also start recording videos to post here if i find myself enjoying it.

For those of you who may not be that interested in WoW, that is not all I will be discussing. I will also commonly talk about other video games and points of nerd intrest. So if your interested, check back for more! if not thanks for taking the time to at least read this one, Stay frosty!....c wut i did ther?
